Program Portfolio Strategy:  A Client's Perspective

Gray interviews clients to get their perspectives on our work.  In this case, our client is the Vice President for Program Development at a post-secondary institution with dozens of campuses and over 10,000 students.  The college focuses on one- to two-year Associate's and Certificate programs.  Gray's systems and analysts support the implementation of a data-driven, systematic approach to evaluate dozens of their current programs and hundreds of potential new programs at over 70 campus locations and online.

Here are the results of our interview, including recordings of its highlights.

Deep Education Industry Experience and Knowledge

The VP believes Gray helped him improve the school's program reviews. "With Gray, we have solidified our program identification process with a methodical approach to identify programs and compare them to one another to determine the best fit.  I use this process at least once a year for each of our campus locations and online....  PES was never a limitation to the issues we were trying to solve."

When our client needed to analyze hundreds of programs in dozens of markets, "Gray provided the horsepower we required to look at program opportunities by location.  After generating a list of 60 possible programs, we were able to use PES to prioritize and make decisions that best fit our institution.  Together, we established scoring systems to rank and score programs by degree level and to knock out programs that lacked relevant employment opportunities."
